WHAT ARE YOUR TASTING ROOM HOURS?We are open on weekends from noon – 5PM, beginning the first weekend in May through the end of November. Check our website or social media to see if we are open on any given holiday.

DO YOU REQUIRE RESERVATIONS FOR TASTINGS?We don’t require reservations for tastings for groups under 6 guests. If your party has 6 or more, please email us at info@southdominionvineyard.com or call us at (518) 291-8882. We can usually accommodate you on the day and hour you request, unless we have an event or private event scheduled. If you are a large group of 10 or more, we do request at least a week’s notice so we can ensure we have sufficient staff to make your visit special.

DO YOU OFFER TOURS OF THE VINEYARD?Yes! Our vineyard is lovely for walking on, especially with a glass of wine in hand! You may walk through the vineyard at your leisure, or schedule a 30-minute tour with our vintner. Contact us via email at admin@southdominionvineyard.com or call us at (518) 291-8882 to reserve the tour package that best meets your desires: 1 hour vineyard tour for 2 with the vintner: $50 Features a description of the cold climate grapes grown at South Dominion, the terroir, and a general overview of the grape growing season. 2-hour vineyard and 1766 log cabin tour for 2-4 with the vintner: $100 Features a walk through the vineyard to learn about the cold climate grapes grown at South Dominion, a description of the grape growing season, and a tour of the 1766 log cabin. You’ll learn about the history of the land on which the vineyard is now sited, along with the fascinating story of the families who built and lived in the log cabin during the early years of our nation’s founding. ARE DOGS or KIDS WELCOME?FOR DOGS- Yes! We love dogs. We have our two labs, Ollie and Cooper, who are very friendly and energetic and love to greet visitors at the winery. Please feel free to bring your buddies. Leashes are always a good idea! FOR KIDS- We have a toddlers’ (4-6 year old) nook upstairs in the book loft featuring a kid-sized table and chairs, water color paints and coloring books, or select a book to read from our collection of kids’ books. Older children might enjoy taking a look at our young adult’s section, kick a ball around on our grounds, or play badminton adjacent to the winery. We have juices and bottled water available for sale for children to drink.

DO YOU RENT OUT THE 1766 LOG CABIN?Yes! Please contact us via our email (admin@southdominionvineyard.com) or call and leave a message at (518) 291-8882 to learn more. We are in the process of setting up an Airbnb account through which interested guests may request a reservation.

DO YOU GROW ALL OF THE GRAPES YOU USE TO MAKE YOUR WINES?Most of the wine we offer is made from the cold climate grapes we grow on our vineyard. Our Seyval Blanc and LaPorte wines are made in part from wine provided by partners in the Finger Lakes.

DO YOU HOST SPECIAL EVENTS or TASTINGS?During the summer we schedule monthly food and music pop-up events that are usually held late afternoon-early evening. Please refer to our Facebook or Instagram pages for dates and times. You’ll also find more information about our Paint and Sip and Craft and Sip events. If you would like to hold a private event in the tasting room, please refer to our Event Package brochure for rates and details.

DO YOU OFFER WINE CLUB MEMBERSHIPS?We are in the process of developing a Vine Club which entails several different levels of participation and learning. Please refer to our Vine Club brochure for more information.

DO YOU HAVE A RESTAURANT OR OFFER FOOD PAIRINGS WITH TASTINGS?We don’t have a restaurant, but we do offer cheese platters in three different sizes, as well as chocolate plates, pretzel and dipping sauce plates, and – with 24-hour hour notice - charcuterie boards.

CAN I BUY YOUR WINE IN WINE STORES?Unfortunately, we are not yet big enough to be able to offer our wine in wine stores. For now, we provide our wine at our winery, at local farmers markets (Troy, Glens Falls, Spa City, Shirt Factory, and Tiashoke), and at summer and fall festivals throughout the Capital District. Please refer to our event page for more info on local farmers markets.

DO YOU SHIP YOUR WINE?We can ship to states that authorize wine sales via UPS. Please contact us via email or phone or at the winery to determine rates.
